Local company contributes to national security

Getting rid of old and unexploded munitions is a serious challenge because burning or detonating munitions can be expensive as well as hazardous to the environment and to human health.
Since 1996, Gradient Technology has been working with the Department of Defense to address this problem. The innovative company, located in the Elk River Business Park, has developed cost-effective methods to efficiently and safely demilitarize munitions. And it’s taking the demilitarization process a step further by reclaiming and reusing or recycling projectile materials whenever possible.
