The aesthetic appeal of a community has a direct impact on the overall quality of life for a resident – which is why the City of Elk River strives to recognize those who go above and beyond to make their property shine. From May to October, local businesses can enter for a chance to win the City Beautification Award, a public acknowledgment of appreciation to business owners who’ve made an effort to clean, repair, improve, and/or enhance the overall aesthetics of their property. This could be anything from remodeling the inside of the structure, enhancements to an outdoor space, or the addition of landscaping elements to a property.
