The medical device industry has been thriving in recent years, driven in part by an increase in demand brought on by an aging population that fuels the need for new treatments for a range of ailments.
Often referred to as “The Light Industrial Hub of the Northwest Metro,” Elk River is home to more than 60 manufacturing facilities. A few area companies are innovating in the medical device sector and there’s great potential for an industry cluster.
Business advantages include dependable power, financial incentives, low operational costs and infrastructure resources geared towards helping medical-device technology companies.
