Low-interest loan program spruces up homes

The Elk River Housing and Redevelopment Authority has a low-interest loan program designed to help people rehabilitate homes in the city’s core area.
Jayme and Chad Swenson used the program to improve their home near St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. They installed new windows and siding, updated the electrical box and put in a new furnace and water heater.
“These were things that needed to be done,” Jayme said. “Finding this program was great.”
