Dirt road debate hits fork in road

Livonia Township supervisors took public comment Monday, Feb. 1, on a resident-led proposal to close a portion of minimum maintenance road on the north end of Lake Fremont.
Residents living along this ruddy stretch of dirt roadway explained how they are concerned for safety of children and how the scenic stretch is used increasingly for as a cut-through to avoid traffic at a lighted intersection on Highway 169.
