May 1, 2018

Open houses planned in Becker, Zimmerman hears from residents

Sherburne County sought public input on the future of the county transportation system. The county is currently updating its long-range transportation plan and hosted two public information open house meetings to gather input from Sherburne County residents, businesses, and commuters.

The first open house meeting was held on Monday, March 12, at Zimmerman City Hall, 12980 Fremont Ave., Zimmerman.

The second open house meeting was held Thursday, March 15, at Becker City Hall, 12060 Sherburne Ave., Becker.

Members of the public were invited to attend either meeting (the same information will be provided at both meetings).

During the open house, information was presented about the purpose and goals of the plan, the county’s existing transportation system, and the schedule for completion of the plan. Staff was available to discuss the plan and answer questions.
