Acreage runs along County Road 9 in Baldwin Township
Dirt has been moving along Sherburne County Road 9/293rd Avenue in Baldwin Township, which has caused some people to wonder what’s happening there.
Princeton-based Ideality Development Company, which creates new neighborhoods and subdivisions for home building, is developing an 85-acre parcel that will contain 14 large lots to build new homes.
Dan Howard said about the home sites, “Actually, we’re hoping they’ll be ready for sale by the middle of this month.”
He and Joe Glenn, his partner and Ideality founder, became interested in the property after the Jones family marketed it for sale. The earliest tornado on record in Minnesota had come through the area during the first week of March 2016 and damaged many evergreen trees. Howard said after Ideality bought the land, the county took some additional right of way and had them clear more trees.
Howard said there have been many meetings and a lot of work building up to site development. The partners have worked with Sherburne County and Baldwin Township to determine such things as storm water drainage, utilities and infrastructure such as roadways. He said there has been a handful of meetings and one more is scheduled to finalize everything.
