Supporting the Local Farmers Market
April 10, 2017
Today’s consumers are paying closer attention to where their food comes from and how it’s grown. A renewed focus on eating “local”—consuming food grown within 100 miles—has benefitted small family farms. For the first time since the Great Depression, they’re making a comeback.
Elk River Farmers Market offers a great opportunity to access fresh food and support local farmers. The market happens in downtown Elk River Park Plaza. Vendors feature a tantalizing variety of homegrown produce, fruits and baked goods as well as items such as flowers, handmade soaps and natural cleaning products.
Check out the Farmers Market every Thursday from June 8–October 5.
You can even sign up to get loyalty rewards and the latest market news.
