The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy is specifically developed for Region 7W, which consists of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright counties.

Economic development planning engages community leaders, leverages the involvement of the private sector, and establishes a strategic blueprint for regional collaboration.

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy is the result of a regionally owned planning process designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region.

A Steering Committee comprised of community leaders, public officials, economic development professionals, workforce development leaders, educators, labor unions, and private individuals representing the diverse population of the region worked collaboratively to develop plan.

It is a key component in establishing and maintaining a robust economic ecosystem by helping to build regional capacity (through hard and soft infrastructure) that contributes to individual, firm, and community success.

We value public feedback as we work to complete a plan that will guide our economic development priorities for the future.
