As the weather warms up, CareerForce staff and partners throughout the state are getting creative in holding safe and socially distanced hiring events outside. Here are just a few examples:
Detroit Lakes: Leading CareerForce partner Rural Minnesota CEP held an outdoor job fair featuring 40-plus employers in the Detroit Lake M State parking lot on May 6. Employers shared information about their openings from entry-level to professional, health care to manufacturing, IT to hospitality. The event featured music broadcast live onsite from a local radio station, plus door prizes and food trucks.
Little Falls: Leading CareerForce partner Rural Minnesota CEP held a job fair in the CareerForce parking lot featuring dozens of local employers on April 29. Employers showcased their openings with displays out of the backs of vehicles or at display tables in the parking lot. People looking for work could apply on the spot and register to win prizes.
