May 4, 2021
Grants of $5,000 each will go to 15 Minneapolis businesses run by people of color who identify as LGBTQ through this year's Minneapolis LGBTQ BIPOC Business Capacity Fund.
LGBTQ-focused Minneapolis philanthropic organization PFund Foundation and Quorum, Minnesota's LGBTQ chamber of commerce, awarded the funds. The recipients will also receive membership to Quorum as well business education sessions on a number of topics, including best insurance practices, social media and finance, according to a press release.
"The goal of the Minneapolis LGBTQ Business Capacity Fund is to create a more equitable and strong business community for LGBTQ and BIPOC owned businesses amidst a global pandemic and significant unrest due to police brutality," PFund Foundation and Quorum said in the release.
