Free powwow on May 18 in Elk River coming together through partnership of Indian Education programs in the school districts of Anoka-Hennepin, St. Francis, Princeton-Milaca and Elk River
For the first time, Indian Education programs in the north metro will host a powwow showcasing Native American culture.
The Two Rivers Powwow will be on May 18 at the Handke Center on Main Street in Elk River. The powwow is a partnership between the Anoka-Hennepin, Elk River, Princeton-Milaca and St. Francis Indian Education programs.
“The powwow is kind of like the showcase for all the good work they’re doing out there,” said John Bobolink, who will be the master of ceremonies for the event.
